Best of 2014: Results

For the second year in a row, we asked our loyal EcoBuns customers what products they love the most from EcoBuns. Here are the final survey results for 2014. 




Best AIO Diaper:

bumGenius Freetime

Last year, this category was a tight race. Both Freetimes and Easy Fits were at the top, separated by only one vote. This year, Freetimes appeared to have no competition. They received twice as many votes as the next most popular AIO (Smart Bottoms). And in case your wondering, Easy Fits dropped to the 5th most popular AIO this year.

Best Pocket Diaper

bumGenius 4.0

This should come as no surprise. bumGenius makes an amazing diaper, and the 4.0 is no exception. The 4.0 easily won this award last year as well. This year, AppleCheeks Diapers were added to the survey and took the number two spot. (Pretty impressive for only being available at EcoBuns for less than a year!)

Best AI2 Diaper

GroVia Hybrid

GroVia narrowly beat out the Flip system for this honor of best AI2 diaper of 2014. Six votes separated them from each other. GroVia won this category last year as well. Their exciting prints and the option to chose from three different types of snap in inserts puts them at the top of the list for EcoBuns's customer favorite. 

Best Diaper Cover

Thirsties Duo Wrap

It seems that when our customers love something, they stick with it! For the second year in a row, Thristies came in at the top of the best diaper cover category. Two sizes mean an incredible fit that is hard to match with a one size diaper cover. The new nautical prints from Thirsties have also been a huge hit. Another welcomed change was their hook and loop. Previously their hook and loop closure was strongly avoided. The new, upgraded hook and loop is far superior and holds up much better than what was previously used which makes it just one more reason why Thirsties is very deserving of this award!

Best Newborn Diaper Option

bumGenius Newborn

bumGenius stole this title away from Bummis newborn prefolds and covers by ONE vote. Both of these options make a great addition to a newborn diaper stash. Most of our customers choose to get a variety of brands of cloth diapers in their newborn stash to see what options they will like the best. The bumGenius newborn is often loved for how trim it is. The biggest complaint of the bumGenius newborn is that is may run out of absorbency before your baby outgrows the size of the diaper. Our recommendation is to add a Bummis newborn prefold to the diaper to boost the absorbency.  

Rounding out the top three picks is TotsBots TeenyFits.

Best Nighttime Diaper Solution

My Daytime and Nighttime Diapers Are The Same/Add a Hemp Insert To My Daytime Diapers

This comes as no surprise to us at EcoBuns. Cloth diapering at night is no different than cloth diapering during the day. Most of our customers (53.04%) use the same diapers they use during the day for their nighttime diapers; either alone, or by adding a hemp insert in the diaper. 

For those looking for a specific nighttime diapers, Thirsties Fitted, Smart Bottoms Prefold, and Bummis Dimple Diaper were the top three picks respectfully. 

Best Baby Carrier

Tula

Tula Baby Carriers haven't been in EcoBuns or the United States for long, but they have hit the babywearing market by storm. They continue to come out with must have prints that make many caregivers able to justify having more than one (or 12) baby carriers. On top of the adorably trendy prints,  Tula carriers are easy to adjust and super comfortable for both caregiver and child. Tula offers two sizes of carriers; standard and toddler. For the purpose of this survey, both sizes were put into one category. 

Favorite product line added in 2014

Aden and Anais

When you ask us for something, we listen. Aden and Anais was the most requested product of 2013, so we brought it in for you! We started with swaddles and dream blankets, and have quickly expanded to carry most of their product line, including their adult dream blanket and skin care line. Watch for new additions from A+A coming this year!

When we asked what products you would like to see added in 2015, we received a TON of great suggestions. We are listening! Join us on February 28th for our 2nd annual birthday celebration. We will be announcing some AMAZING new products to the EcoBuns family.
